CONTRAINDICATIONS OF THE DRUG ACICLOVIR TEVA SANTÉ CREAM

This medication should not be used in children under 6 years old.

ATTENTION

This cream available without a prescription is intended to be used on the advice of your pharmacist; tell them about any history of an allergic reaction to a medicine containing aciclovir or valaciclovir. Do not use it for herpes lesions located anywhere other than the lips.

Aciclovir treats herpes outbreaks but does not eliminate the virus from the body. It therefore does not prevent the occurrence of other crises.

Ultraviolet promotes outbreaks of herpes labialis. Avoid exposure to strong sunlight or UV rays , or apply a sufficient and renewed total sunscreen.

FERTILITY, PREGNANCY AND LACTATION

This cream can be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND DOSAGE OF THE DRUG ACICLOVIR TEVA HEALTH CREAM

Treatment should be started at the first symptoms announcing an outbreak of herpes labialis.

USUAL DOSE:

• Adult and child over 6 years old : 5 applications per day. The duration of treatment should not exceed 10 days.

TIPS

Herpes is a contagious disease. Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the cream or in case of contact with the lesions; in particular, absolutely avoid touching your eyes with contaminated fingers. The risk of contagion is greatest when the vesicles appear (small blisters under the skin).
