Ribavirin:
- Used to treat hepatitis C virus
- Mechanism of Action:
Inhibits DNA cloning.

- Foscarnet:
- Used to treat HIV and Herpes.
- Mechanism of Action:
Inhibits the DNA polymerase needed to clone the virus.
- Disadvantages Disadvantages:
Has a detrimental effect on kidneys as a result of deposition on kidneys.
