Quinine is an alkali found in the bark of different species of Cinnabon (CINCHONA), especially the Senacona or Psinalis, the Sencona Kalizia and the Seneca Suxeropra.
It is a white crystalline powder. Quinine and its salts have the properties of general paralysis on protoplasm of single-celled organisms in the blood. It is therefore especially used as an anti-fever, anti-fever and anti-malaria.
