Constipation during cancer treatment.. Use of anti-cancer drugs and painkillers and not to take adequate amounts of fluids and fiber

Constipation is the result of the use of anti-cancer drugs, painkillers and also occurs due to insufficient intake of fluids and fiber.
Some suggestions to prevent and treat constipation:
- Drink plenty of fluids at least 8 cups a day.
- Take a glass of water before eating the meal half an hour to activate bowel movement.
- Consult your doctor about increasing the amount of fiber in the food (some cancers do not need a high fiber diet).
If you can increase the fiber, take the following precautions:
Whole grains, dry fruits, bran, vegetables and fresh fruits, beans and dry peas, eat potatoes with their husks, and make sure to eat enough fluids.
- Do some daily exercise and consult your doctor.
