Vena Medium Size Medium-sized vein
When examining a cross-section in a medium-sized vein, we observe the following layers, from inside to outside, as follows:
1- Tunica intima
Note that this tunic is very thin as it consists of the layer of blanket Endothelium only and the internal rubber membrane is not internal Internal elastic membrane.
2- Tunica media
It is much thinner than it is in the case of a medium-sized artery and also consists of smooth circular muscle cells arranged in white and yellow fibers.
3- Tunica adventitia
It consists of a thick layer of irregular connective tissue that consists of longitudinally arranged egg fibers with a network of loose-fiber fibers. This tunic contains Vasa vasorum.
