It was narrated that Abu Dawudah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Allaah has sent down disease and medicine, and to make every disease a panacea. The scholars have taken the command in this hadeeth with the narration that is not obligatory, because there is a saheeh ahaadeeth that say that it is permissible to give medicine or to prefer not to cure.
The scholars differed concerning the ruling on medication on the sayings of the most famous of which are the following:
The first view is that the remedy is permissible, which is the view of the majority of scholars from the Hanafis, Malikis, Shaafa'is and Hanbalis. If they disagree, do he first do or leave him?
As for those who say that leaving medication is better, and perhaps they expressed it with the word of hatred,
The first hadith: On the authority of 'Ata' ibn Abi Rabah he said: Ibn Abbas said to me: "Should I not show you a woman among the people of Paradise?" The second view is that it is obligatory, and it is said to some Hanbalis. And some of the scholars restricted it to the knowledge of healing.
The International Islamic Jurisprudence Academy has stated that the remedy varies according to the circumstances and people.
It is obligatory for the person if his leaving leads to damage to himself or one of his organs or disability or the disease is transmitted to others, such as infectious diseases.
And he shall be a delegate if his departure leads to weakness of the body and does not result from the foregoing in the first case.
And shall be permissible if it is not included in the two preceding cases.
And it is disliked if the act is afraid of more severe complications than the illness to be removed.
Imam al-Ghazali said in the revival of science religion reasons called some companions and followers and followers to leave the medication, including:
1 - that the patient has learned the evidence of the conditions that disease disease death, and that the medicine does not benefit him, which happened to Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him.
2 - to be preoccupied with his pain and fear of his punishment until he forgets the pain of the disease. (As reported by Abu Dhar al-Ghafari).
3 - The illness is chronic and it is likely that the medicine is not useful. Al-Ghazali said: "And more than leaving the medication of the slaves and this is their document."
4 - To receive the reward of patience on the scourge, and it is tolerated and the atonement of sins for those who spend on themselves.
5 - For those who know themselves the bad and bad and forget the grace when health and wellness solutions, if the disease came to know his Lord and resorted to him, and leave medication so as not to return negligence.
