The importance of water in restoring the recovery of athletes .. Loss of the body to quantities of water leads to dehydration and low level of physical performance and reduce the degree of endurance and reduce the size

In particular, athletes must pay attention to drinking water or beverages in quantities commensurate with their needs for the following reasons:
- When athletes exert physical effort, they increase the rate of respiration and excrete amounts of water in the form of vapor in the air exhaling or sweat, leading to a shortage of fluids in the tissues and muscle cells and low efficiency of the work of these cells because of the insufficient fluids inside to perform their functions in a good manner.
- The loss of body parts of water is the biggest enemy of athletes because it may lead to dehydration, low level of physical performance and reduce the degree of endurance and reduce the size and efficiency of the physical work of athletes.
- There is a decrease in the level of productivity of athletes during physical activity if they do not get their water needs, fatigue and lose large amounts of minerals such as sodium and potassium, and are subject to multiple injuries.
- Athletes must get rid of the heat resulting from the continuation of the effort through sweat, which leads to the loss of the body to the amounts of water, so athletes must compensate for that loss of water during the game. Or during rest period after training or competition.
- Athletes get their water needs during training or competition times, providing them with opportunities to prevent contractions, muscle tension, sunburn or heat stroke.
