Second-line MDR-TB drugs should be used in specialized centers that comply with WHO standards for TB control in children:
- Amicassin - Powder for injection: 1000 mg in a vial.
- Capriomycin - Powder for injection: 1000 mg in a vial.
- Cycloserine - capsules or tablets: 250 mg.
- Ethonamide - tablets: 125 mg; 250 mg.
- Canamycin - Powder for injection: 1000 mg in a vial.
-Ofloxacin * - tablets: 200 mg; 400 mg.
Levofloxacin may be an alternative to availability and program considerations.
- Para-aminosalicylic acid - Granules: 4 g in small bags.
Tablets: 500 mg.
