CONTRAINDICATIONS OF THE DRUG ACEBUTOLOL EG
severe forms of certain conditions: asthma , chronic bronchitis , arteritis , Raynaud 's phenomenon ;
heart failure not controlled by specific treatment;
severe atrioventricular block ;
heart rate less than 50 beats per minute;
untreated pheochromocytoma ;
low blood pressure ;
history of anaphylactic shock ;
breastfeeding .
ATTENTION
Never interrupt treatment abruptly, especially in the case of angina pectoris . Takes should be spaced out gradually. Take medical advice.
This medication is not a treatment for angina pectoris . It is also not suitable for the treatment of a particular form of angina pectoris called Printzmétal's angina which is a vasodilator treatment . It can nevertheless be associated with this one when a “classic” angina pectoris coexists with an angina of Printzmétal.
Precautions are necessary in case of renal insufficiency and in the elderly.
In diabetics, beta- blockers can mask certain symptoms of hypoglycaemia ( palpitations and acceleration of the heart essentially).
Beta - blockers can worsen allergic reactions and prevent the action of adrenaline used in the emergency treatment of anaphylactic shock . This medication may interact with medications containing diltiazem, verapamil, or fingolimod.

FERTILITY, PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
PREGNANCY :
The available studies have not revealed malformations in the unborn child during the use of different beta- blockers in pregnant women. If you wish to become pregnant or if a pregnancy occurs while you are taking this medicine, consult your doctor so that he can assess the possible risk in your case. If the treatment is continued until delivery, the beta -blocking effect persists for a few days in the newborn and justifies reinforced medical supervision during the first days of life.
FEEDING WITH MILK :
This medication passes into breast milk; a choice is therefore necessary between breastfeeding and taking the drug. This decision should be made in consultation with your doctor.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND DOSAGE OF THE DRUG ACEBUTOLOL EG
This medication can be taken with or without meals.
USUAL DOSE:
Arterial hypertension : 400 mg per day, preferably taken once in the morning or in 2 doses (one in the morning and one in the evening).
Aftermath of myocardial infarction : 1 tablet of 200 mg, morning and evening.
Angina pectoris , heart rhythm disorders : 400 to 800 mg per day.
TIPS
Make sure you always have a supply of medicine, a plate in the toilet bag, for example.
Your blood pressure should be checked regularly. Devices for automatic home blood pressure measurement often use a different measurement process than your doctor uses. Drug treatment does not dispense with measures that can lower blood pressure : regular physical activity, moderation in the consumption of alcoholic beverages and salt , the fight against excess weight, smoking cessation.
It is normal for the heart rate to slow down with treatment; however, in case of abnormal fatigue and pulse less than 50 beats per minute, consult your doctor.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS OF THE DRUG ACEBUTOLOL EG
Most frequently: stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, fatigue at the start of treatment, feeling of cold hands and feet, erectile dysfunction, severe slowing of the heart.
More rarely: atrioventricular block , excessive drop in blood pressure , Raynaud 's phenomenon , heart failure , bronchospasm , hypoglycaemia , rash , worsening of psoriasis .
