Avocados are rich in folic acid, commonly known as vitamin B and are commonly known as folic acid.
One cup of avocado provides about 23% of the recommended daily value of folic acid. A high amount of folic acid in avocados is necessary for pregnant women to prevent birth defects, such as neural tube defect and spina bifida.

Reduces the risk of strokes:
High levels of folic acid in avocados may also protect against stroke.
The study showed that individuals who ate rich folic acid diets had a lower risk of stroke than those who did not.
