What are the steps of LASIK?
1. The first step: Although you will remain awake throughout LASIK surgery, you will not feel any pain. After putting an eye lotion, the eyelids are gently removed from each other using a medical tool.
Step 2: Apply a small absorbent ring around the cornea to act as a base for the microcurrent device.
Step 3: Separate the surface of the outer cornea using the microcurrent, and bend it upwards.
4. Step 4: The doctor will ask you to look for a red intermittent light while the ECZ laser adjusts the internal corneal shape and this step lasts from one to two minutes depending on the degree of adjustment necessary.
Step 5: Return the surface of the outer cornea to its normal place and leave to dry for several minutes.
Step 6: The doctor may recommend using some droplets or covering the eye to protect it.
7. You may feel a little blurred vision and therefore prefer to have one of your relatives or friends to take you home.
8. The doctor will advise you to relax for the rest of the day. Correcting LASIK is an effective, quick and painless procedure.
