There are some precautions that should be taken into account when giving sperm samples; until proper results are obtained on the tested sample:
- Abstinence from intercourse for a period equal to the normal period in which the husband abstains from intercourse .. For example, if the couple are accustomed to the occurrence of intercourse once a week given the sample after abstaining from intercourse for a week.
- The sample should be given in a cold dry sterilizer (remember that heat and water kill the sperm!).
- All the quantity should be lowered in the pot because the density of the sperm varies between the first semen and the last one.
- In case of taking the sample from the house and delivery to the laboratory must be taken into account the above, then be careful to be transport in a period not exceeding half an hour and that the sample is not subjected to extreme heat.
