Old classification systems:
* Classification: is to place objects or living creatures into groups based on a set of characteristics.
* Its usefulness: to facilitate the study and restriction of living creatures.
* The Aristotle System: The Department of Living Creatures to:
Plants are divided into (trees, shrubs, grasses).
Animals are divided into:
. Contains red blood: to (live on land or in water or fly in the air).
. Does not contain red blood.
Carlos Linus' system: Aristotle developed the first system to develop a formal (global) classification system.
- Important Definitions:
1- Classifier: A group of living creatures that have taken a name on them.
2- Type: A group of living organisms similar in form and structure, capable of mating among themselves, and produces fertile individuals can mate and reproduction.
3- Sex: A group of species that are most interrelated and similar and share a single origin.
