Leptospirosis.. The immune interaction between one of the bacteria causing the disease and the protein of the eye of the horse

Leptospirosis:
Leptospirosis is a disease caused by primordial bacteria called leptospira. It is a widespread disease all over the world and affects humans and many wild and domestic animals especially dogs, cats and horses.
Animal parasites disease:
All animals develop leptospirosis although the disease in cats is rare. Clinical symptoms of leptospirosis vary and may be non-specific. Sometimes pets do not show any symptoms. Symptoms of the disease include: fever, rehydration, abdominal pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, general weakness, lethargy and muscle contraction. Infections are often more severe in children than in adult animals.
In horses, leptospirosis is characterized by blindness after 12 months of infection as a result of the immune interaction between one of the pathogenic bacteria and the eye of the horse's eye.
