Sleeping fever - Anxiety is a common disease in tropical Africa caused by a parasite called trypanosom.
Symptoms:
In the first case of the disease, the patient gets fever, severe headache and swelling in the "lymph tubers".
The patient also shows anemia and rash.
In the last stages of the disease, the patient experiences neurological changes due to the injury of the central nervous system (brain)
Infection:
The most important source of infection is the tsetse fly.
Methods of prevention:
Elimination of tsetse flies in all ways and on the virgins to expose the place of birth to the sun and the use of insecticides.
