For abortion to be legal, it must be performed 12 weeks before pregnancy on special conditions:
- If the woman is in a bad psychological state with a medical report.
- The necessity of practicing abortion by a doctor.
- Although Belgian law exempts a pregnant woman from the consent of her parents or guardians.
