Ibn Sina indicates that the drugs mentioned in this chapter are also useful in the treatment of baldness, as indicated in the germination of the hair of the eyebrows and beard. He then talks about the description of many types of compound medicines, most of which are derived from some members of animals and mixed with some fats to be used as local anesthetic in places where the intention to germinate hair. As an example of this mixture, what was mentioned in the last chapter, where the origin of the reeds can be taken and mixed with the ashes of frogs and watercress. This compound is used locally as a strong hair conditioner.
