Take a quick screenshot on Windows:
To make screenshots in Windows you don't need to install any program. Although applications such as Dropbox have tools designed for this purpose, if you do not have it on your PC or if you simply want to do it quickly, just press a couple of keys.
Since the arrival of Windows 8, the task of making screenshots of everything that appears on your monitor has been greatly simplified. In previous versions of the Microsoft operating system, it was normal to press the Print Screen key and then turn to Paint to paste in this image editing program the capture obtained and save it in the format we wanted. Clearly, it was a rudimentary and unintuitive process.
Fortunately, if you have Windows 8 or Windows 10, now everything is easier. All you have to do is press the Windows key at the same time as Print Screen. At that same moment, you will see how the screen darkens for just a second, which will indicate that the capture was successful.
The result will be immediately saved in PNG format in the folder that Windows uses by default to save images. In Windows 10 you will find them in "This computer \ images \ Screenshots", while in Windows 8 it will appear in the path "User \ Libraries \ Images \ Screenshots".
As you can see, a quick and effective trick to save as an image what appears at a given time on your monitor. And if what you want is to convert the capture to JPG, then you will have to go through Paint or your favorite image editing program (opening the image and choosing the format after clicking File / Save As).
Use the Clippings tool:
Finally, if you prefer to capture only one area of the screen, you can also use the Clippings tool, included in Windows by default.
Simply type your name from the Windows search, open the application and click on New. Then, you can select the area to capture with the mouse cursor.
In addition, you have the possibility to capture the selection with delay, by simply choosing in the “Defer” menu the delay time you need (by default it is in zero seconds, but you can upload it up to five). Easier and faster, impossible.
